Yes. Every investor has the right to invest in private securities. There are, however, limitations based on your investor status. Accredited investors have full availability to all investments. Eligible investors have limitations based on their Net Financial Assets and the investment must have an Offering Memorandum or Prospectus.
Yes you can! Be aware not every investment is possible in registered accounts but we will work with you to find suitable investments that do qualify and meet your goals.
There is no direct cost to investors. We receive an upfront commission and sometimes a trailer fee, both of which are paid by the Issuer not you. The fees that we do earn are disclosed to you prior to your investment.
Quantus Investment Corp. Is a licensed Exempt Market Dealer (EMD). We are registered in Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia. We distribute private securities on behalf of Issuers that need to raise capital to grow their businesses.
An Exempt Market Dealer is a broker licensed under Canadian Securities law to distribute private investments (securities). Our primary regulator is the Ontario Securities Commission but we also comply with BC and Alberta regulations as we are registered in those provinces as well.
Once you decide to invest in a private security your funds go directly to the issuer or to an account at a trustee. Your funds never go to Quantus. We facilitate your investment but do not ever touch your funds. We work for you to ensure you receive the investment you desire.
No they are not. If you are looking for a guarantee we suggest you speak to your financial institution about GICs. Any security offering a higher rate than GICs carries additional risk. We will discuss the risks inherent in the investments we offer and work with you to decide which ones and how much risk is appropriate for your situation.
